Tax Hedge Funds
Why, because that is where the 1% have their money.
You could exclude pension funds and other legitmate groups.
Obviously this is not easy, because it would require the cooperation of all countries. for example it would be very easy for the 1% to take their money to Ireland if for example Ireland refused to go along. Anyway that is my idea to level the field for what it's worth.1 vote -

It's not just America
It's great that a lot of this is happening in the U.S. But this is a global movement. Unite all of us because America is as affected as it affects the other countries that support this movement. Their are things we can all do together because of different governments but what we can don't limit it exploit it!

We need to do SOMETHING about the National Defense Authorization ACT (S.1867)
London Police have branded the Occupy Movement a "terrorist group". The UK is a coalition partner with the US. Under Section 1031 of the NDAA, once Bushbama signs it, every OWS protester and supporter in America can be rounded up and shipped to some gulag in Montana never to be heard from again. It will be the end of democracy in America, and the beginning of the Amerikan Fourth Reich. I have no specific proposals, but we must do SOMETHING!

Publish a list of politicians who will be fired in 2012
HANDOUT PINK SLIPS!!
We should draw up and publish a state by state list of politicians who are going to lose their jobs in the 2012 elections (if not sooner). We should make our movement known at all levels of government. We don't really have to dump them all...just enough of them to make the rest realize that we truly are the 99%, and we have the power.33 votes -
Overwhelm negativity with joy
A lot of folks believe that everything is energy, positive or negative. On December 10th, no matter what people choose to do, I would like everyone to keep their personal energy as positive as possible, for the whole day. If a negative feeling or thought comes up, dismiss it for a more positive one. Everyone on the planet can do this for some part of the day, if not the whole day, and I see no way that it can cause any harm.

Flood the news paper adds, radio broadcasts, and/or any kind of forum with facts/statistics, 99% stories, and involvement information.
Spreading the word and desire to the affected 99% is the only way to secure the future of the Occupy movement. Currently the support is determined but only a mere fraction of the population. We need to unify and pull in support from the individual who are in denial about the reality of the issues faced by the great majority of the country. The citizens of this country have long since forgotten what it means to be here, that we are a people of choice and duty and that when their is a discrepancy of this magnitude between citizens, there… more

The government should introduce a bill to tax all share and futures purchases
This would help curb rampant speculation and raise revenue for debt repayment ect. The percentage could be similar to the UK"s .05%. This is only fair we all pay a purchase tax for all our goods and services. So why are the market speculators exempt from being taxed?

Send the One Dollar Message
Give one dollar (or on euro, or on peso, or ... etc.) to one person of your own choosing. If you you give it to your friend Sarah W., write somewhere on the dollar, "Sarah W. is more important than this dollar." If you give it to a stranger write, "Brother, sister, you are more important than this dollar."
You can give it anonymously and write your note on behalf of another person you care about: "Joseph M., grandfather, is more important than this dollar," "Lisa J. is more important than this dollar." If you don't want to hand it… more

Flood the Phone Lines and e-mail of Politicians Who Suport the 1%
There are numerous politicians who are totally in the pockets of the 1%. I don't have to name them - you already know who they are. Selectively target the ones who are the most deaf to our voice and stop up the plumbing with our voice. That is simple, legal, and a legitimate means of petitioning. It would also be good to occupy their local offices with groups that could come and go all the blessed time.

Get the Money Out of Politics Rally
The root of almost all of our problems is special interest money in politics. see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1B5hn3Tnog
91% of us want it fixed, as does the Occupy Movement, as does the Tea Party. Lets show solidarity, and invite all of America to attend.185 votes -

OCCUPY "BANK OWNED" FORECLOSED HOMES
Once in the homes it will take months to get us out threw court action "leagal eviction" as long as there is no damage or breaking and entering. For example call and get a lock box code to view house then just occupy. Or an unattended "open house" or as simple as a unlocked window or back door. This would be great in northern cities to shelter from winter and still occupy as well as spending holidays in a huge beautiful bank owned house.

Occupy Congress and get the money out of our governing bodies.
Put a full-court press on our congress persons until they've passed a public financing bill for ALL our of elections.
It will not be possible to take down the oligarchy as long as they have the support of congress so we have to change that by taking away the power their money gives them..
We need representatives who are not obligated to the oligarchy and are free to vote for the needs and wishes of their constituents.
Hope you all had a merry Christmas. .

Implement Direct Democracy Starting in Our Communities--Network Globally
Our movement needs to gain credibility among those who have born the brunt of capitalism's most disastrous economic crisis yet but may have felt socially, geographically, racially, or otherwise excluded from the surge of activism that took place earlier this year. Those of us who are already deeply invested in the Occupy movement can start by talking to our neighbors and working with them to create General Assemblies in our neighborhoods, towns, and villages. This Saturday, lets launch thousands of these GA's, throughout the United States and around the world, so as to coordinate and draw attention to our efforts… more
